About Rachel
Rachel Nielsen is an actress and model in the NYC area. Most recently, Rachel played a lead role as a scientist in the comedic action film ‘Cash Storm’ currently streaming on Tubi. Her notable credits include 'Rose' in HBO's 'Mare of Easttown' with Kate Winslet. She also starred in the feature ‘Alpha Rift’ as the female lead acting alongside veteran actor Lance Henriksen. The world premiere of ‘Alpha Rift’ took place at the TCL Chinese theatre in Hollywood as part of the 24th annual Dances with Films Festival and had an international theatrical release.
She has years of experience in the modeling and fashion industry as well collaborating with brands such as Toyota, Boscovs, and many others. One highlight of her modeling journey was getting the opportunity to walk in NYFW in the September 2022 season.
Rachel began cultivating her passion for performing while attending the Center for Performing and Fine Arts High School in PA. While in school, she began studying and has since graduated four years of Meisner Technique training at Playhouse West Philadelphia with Tony Savant.
While studying her craft, she was hand picked for Leads in two feature films directed by Jim Parrack (True Blood, Suicide Squad) and acted alongside Leven Rambin (Hunger Games) in one of them. She has costarred with comedic actors Brian O’Halloran (Clerks) and Dian Bachar (BASEsketball) in the episodic ‘Green Piece’.
Having always had a spirit to serve, Rachel has been awarded as “Phillies Extraordinary Scholar” for her volunteer efforts at Citizens Bank Park, by Senator Vereb, the Montgomery County Commission on Women & Families, Kohl’s, and Prudential. One special experience in particular which was an affirmation in her purpose to use art as a vessel for good was having organized a community talent show to raise money for Variety Club Children’s Charity. She was also honored with selection as a Young Adult Ambassador for the 2021 National Mental Health Advisory Board in partnership with Active Minds, WellBeing Trust, and Young Invincibles. A passionate advocate for female driven narratives and inclusivity she has also been a member of NYWIFT (New York Women in Film and Television) and has served to empower women as the National American Miss New Jersey 2021.
Rachel loves reading a good book, playing ukulele, and watching Battle Star Galactica or any movie with Brendan Fraser. Faith, family, and her dog River bring her joy and inspiration!
